A jewel, we would say a
masterpiece of Renaissance, signed by Architect Michele Sanmicheli: Villa Ca
'Vendri. Glamor, refinement, peace and tranquility are the words that best
represent this magnificent property beautifully laid down amidst the green of
the first hilly area of Valpantena in Verona.
An excellent location,
considered one of the most important historical villas perfect to host luxury
events.
The Renaissance Villa is
located six kilometers away from the center of Verona, in Contrada Vendri, a
name derived from Venus, inasmuch, in Roman times, it is said that there should
had been a temple dedicated to have Goddess of Beauty.
Throughout the Valpantena,
which owes its name to the nearby early Pantheon of Santa Maria in Stelle,
there are many Roman traces. For example, in the basements of Ca 'Vendri,
columns lined with bases were found, while on the walls of worked stones, clearly
recovered from a previous construction.
The Villa surely had been
built before 1585, the date of the document bearing the writing in Veronese
dialect: "palazo brusado" (burned building) is presumed to have been
the act of a certain bandit Ottavio who had hated the Conti Giusti owners of
the Villa.
The little church of the
Villa, located at the far north of the park and dedicated to St. Nicolò of
Tolentino, dates back to an era before the villa was built and adapted to the
new choreography of the garden at the time and in the style of Sanmicheli. The
park was decorated in the 18th century with statues, fountains, a pond and a
colonnaded water nymphaeum, and today shows itself very charming.
On the east side of the
court there is the fountain with Bacco statue - north is the fountain with a
fantastic animal in the center
Who holds the coat of arms
of the Righteous.
A real corner of paradise,
of which Cofim Immobiliare is proud of being commissioned to sell this
prestigious historic estate.
