The Pieropan family winery won the Best Wine Tourism Award in the Architecture and Landscape category. Designed by the architect Moreno Zurlo of ACME studio Verona, the winery was built following the highest sustainability criteria, starting from the choice of local materials to limit the impacts of transport to strategic solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption, especially related to thermo humidity regulation useful for reducing wine refrigeration costs. Moreover, the Pieropan family has been even more attentive to the final consumer by introducing self-produced nitrogen into the supply chain from pressing to bottling, minimizing the use of sulfur dioxide in wines.
The interiors have been finished with Brenta lime, which deliberately improves the quality of the air, used to harmoniously respect the play of color and light of the cellars and give visitors a unique experience. The winery has seen an increase in the number of visitors this year, which in the summer months alone counted 2,500 visitors.
